Foster Care Ministry
I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you John 14:18
The Foster Care & Adoption Ministry (FCAM) is dedicated to serving, encouraging and equipping foster & adoptive families in Las Vegas. This Ministry is making a difference by assisting in the recruitment of new adoptive and foster families, holding monthly support group meetings, leading efforts to create awareness and coming alongside families to provide tangible support. With over 3,000 children in the foster care system and only about 474 foster homes currently in Clark County – our prayer and mission is to have more families waiting for children than we have children waiting for families.
More than half of foster families quit after their first year of serving God in this way due to lack of adequate support and that is very sad. Here at CCLV our FCAM Ministry supports our foster parents as well as provides volunteers to help. If God is calling you to foster/adopt and He has stirred your heart for these vulnerable children, please contact us and we will guide you through the licensing process. You will be surrounded by faithful servants and other foster/adoptive families who will walk this journey with you! You are not alone! We also invite you to prayerfully consider becoming a foster parent help us come alongside of these families and extend your much-needed Godly love to these foster children by becoming a mentor, prayer warrior, foster parent or offering whatever gifts and talents God has generously blessed you with! Whether you have time to dedicate once a week, once a month or once a quarter, WE NEED YOU! Please consider becoming part of the FCAM Family by reaching out to us via social media or contact us directly at (954) 383-5756 or at firstname.lastname@example.org. What to expect
We have formed Care Communities to surround, love on and help our foster families in The FCAM Ministry. Our Care Communities are volunteers who meet the needs of these families by showing God through loving these children, spending quality time with the children, preparing meals, mentoring, helping with transportation to court dates or therapies, praying over the families needs, maintenance on their homes and doing fun activities with them to provide a much-needed break for our foster/adoptive moms and dads. Our monthly group of families and children that meet together are a loving Christ-centered group that discuss ongoing topics, review books and key elements to help teach parents how to raise these foster children in a Godly, loving way. It is a close-knit, extended family type of group and there are fun group activities held throughout the year such a summer fun event, hiking trips,Christmas gifts for the kids and other fun events we do as families.
